It has been 30 years since the 44th Strategic Missile Wing closed the hangar doors for the last time. Maintaining two legs of the nuclear triad, Ellsworth was a constant beehive of activity, day and night—the base never slept. Those days are long gone but the memories of that era remain firmly planted in our minds. Some of us were there to witness the beginning in the early sixties, others when it all came to an end, and a great many of us were there somewhere in between. It is important that we gather from time to time to relive our history and revive our friendships. The reunion committee is already busy with the goal of making this a truly memorable event. As per tradition, tri-tip beef cooked over an open fire will be prepared and served by our own “Bandit” crew. We look forward to seeing you there!

Some of you have asked if you can extend your reservation stay. You will have to work with Colleen on an individual basis to see if that can happen. Since we will be there during off-peak season, my gut feeling is that you should be able to.
