Thanks to Danny Sebeck and the team at the Torchlight Initiative https://torchlightinitiative.org , the Missile Cancer Initiative is getting more attention in 2025. Two links below are attached for your information and education.  On April 8, Col Sebeck was invited to brief the House VA Committee on the disproportionate rate of cancers and illnesses impacting the ICBM community.  His comments are at the 1hr 6 min mark. An April 25th article at Military.com by Thomas Novelly shares the news of an Independent Study on Military Cancer with a focus on Malmstrom AFB.

After the release of the study, Danny posted the following on Linked In:

"This is a turning point in the discussion and actions taken surrounding ICBM community cancer.  The research and analysis discussed in the article answer the torchlight Initiative's early question:  Do Malmstrom missileers have increased rates of lymphoma? yes they do.

This confirmation should open the door to new lines of inquiry and ensure this concern isn't discounted, downplayed or forgotten in the future.

Now let's accept the brutal reality, move forward urgently, and answer the following questions:

What is the cause? What other bases are impacted? What other career fields are impacted? What other cancers and illnesses are impacting us? How do we document our know exposures? How do we increase health monitoring of current and past ICBM community members?"
